Canyon Son is a blues/rock /funk band with roots running deep in Topanga Canyon, California. The band has been playing in Topanga and around the LA area for over four years and has recently released a self-titled, ten-song CD, “Canyon Son”. Justin Kirby is the lead singer, songwriter and second guitarist in Canyon Son. His songs are guitar-driven and bluesy,  reflecting styles and influences of Hendrix, the Stones and Mellencamp. The multi-talented Scott Grusin plays keyboards on some tracks and lead guitar on others. Sasha Panic is the bassist and producer of the CD. On drums is rock-steady Paul Allen, the band’s newest member.
